gingerbread houses and holiday parties
WHAT a busy weekend. I was barely home for a single second.
On Friday, David and I went to see a comedy hypnotist. He was quite comical, but I'm not so sure a hypnotist. His name was Joshua Seth, and he reminded me of my Calc II TA. The end.
Yesterday was the INPO Holiday Dinner Dance. I have to say, it was QUITE boring. No good people were there, meaning I wanted Chris and Angie and Kevin. AND ALSO Tyler and Emily ended up not being able to come because Tyler's uncle got robbed or some such story. However, the crab cakes were good.
Also, I found this boy:

I picked out that tie myself!!!
Then we had a gingerbread house making party today. :) It was a lot of fun. Some people made houses, some people made bricks, some people made planes, and some people made ROBOTS (David):

Other good houses (that I managed to take an un-blurry photo of) include:
Ma's tank:

Whitney's:

Mine:

I didn't feel like finishing mine.
I wanted to post pictures of everyone's, including Emily's frosting house, but my pictures were too blurry. :(
I also got to get to know one of my new roommates better. She seems sweet. :)
Ok, so now I'm exhausted, and about to go to sleep. I'll be working overtime every day this week. Gross.
Oh yeah, I also have some serious plans to make some Christmas sugar cookies. The end.
Bring me to Christmas, please

Let me just start off by saying that I hate baking sugar cookies. Not doing it again.
It's almost Christmas!!! We only just bought our Christmas tree on Sunday. I don't even have lights up in my room. I did, however, take care to put my Sailor Moon ornaments on our tree. It's only one of the most important things about Christmas.
So something is wrong when I start checking my work email at home. SOMEONE STOP ME.
Anyway, life has been pretty good these days. Nothing from the usual, I guess. Yesterday pretty much sucked though.
Sunday I got to see Darren, Sophie, Jewlia, and Glen. We all hung out at Starbucks (the usual!) for a little bit and discovered that pretty much none of us will be here for our usual New Year's gathering. SAD. We're all getting seperate lives...it's bitter-sweet to me.
Tomorrow we get free lunch!!! Kevin and Chris are taking the CAD co-ops (Whitney, Tyler, and myself) to Cheesecake Factory for our End-Of-Semester lunch. Lovely.
Also, the most exciting news which I keep forgetting to post, is that I've lost 9.5 pounds! AMAZING, I know. I've almost lost all the weight I gained from studying abroad over the summer. I just hate how there's a constant flow of holiday cookies, cakes, and candies around. Make it stop!!!
Anyway, this entry pretty much sucks, doesn't it? That's ok, I only wanted to post that picture up there. I had a vision in my head, and I wanted to see if I could pull it off. I pretty much did, except the lighting is a little off, and I didn't feel like photoshopping it. :)
Kthxbai. (Got you.)
A Christmas Eve tradition
Tee hee awwwwwww. I love giving people presents.
Well every family has its own Christmas traditions. One of ours has been to open one present on Christmas Eve. Over time this tradition evolved into opening all "family" presents (presents from me, Ash, Mike, Mom, and Dad). We just exchanged gifts. :)
I love giving people presents. I made my Mom cry twice! Once when my brother opened the gift I gave him, and once when she opened the one I gave her. Tee hee.
I'm so excited. My brother loved the present I gave him. I almost cried because he was so happy. He got exactly the expression on his face that I hoped for.
I love giving people presents. I love my family.
That's all I wanted to say. :)
Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays! This is one of my art journal pages that I made for David (at Christmas lol). It's framed in a silver shadowbox. *is obsessed with shadowboxes*
Please excuse the bad scanning quality. I'm still learning.
Have a lovely day!!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
David and I are heading north for a family day. <3
Happy Easter!
I colored these eggs with my mom. :) Happy Easter!
